Lock Unlock Windows Registry Editor

Malicious Web site often destroy our system by modifying the registry,when the registry is locked, how to unlock windows registry editor? And how to lock to provent it being modified? That is what i will tell you.

Registry is a core database of windows operating system, which stored the various parameters,direct control Windows Startup, hardware driver loads and a number of Windows applications and thus plays a central role throughout the system. These effects include the initial conditions, preferences, and unloading data of the application and resource manager, the entire system settings and a variety of licensing of networked computers, File extension associated with the application, a description of hardware components, state and attributes, performance records and other system state information of the underlying, and other data.

Malicious Web site often destroy our system by modifying the registry, or even disable the registry, that is, to lock the registry by modifying the registry.

When the registry is locked, we can unlock it in the system.

First, click the "Start" - "Run", type "gpedit.msc", open the Group Policy Editor.

Second, in the "Group Policy Editor" dialog box, select "'Local Computer' Strategy" - "User Configuration" - "management module" - "system."

Third, in the option list on right of "system", select "block access to registry editing tools."

4, right-click "block access to registry editing tools", select "Properties"

5, in the pop-up "blocking access to registry editing tools Properties" dialog box, the default "Not Configured" changed to "Enabled" and click "OK" button.

Lock Registry Editor.

6, in the pop-up "blocking access to registry editing tools Properties" dialog box, change the default "Not Configured" to "Disabled", click "OK" button. Now you know lock and unlock Registry Editor is very easy!
