How to Feature Registry Favorites

In Windows ME/2000/XP system, the Registry Editor has added favoritess feature, as convenient as IE browser's. It can help us quickly locate commonly used sub-key, but can you feature registry favorites? And backup it?  The methods as following.

The first method to feature registry favorites: Featured Favoritess

In [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SOFTWARE / Microsoft / Windows / CurrentVersion], modify the ProgramFilesDir string value to the path you needed to change the application's installation location, execute the "Favoritess → Add to Favoritess" command, the default" Favorites Name "is CurrentVersion. Because there are several items have the same name in the registry, if we accept the default name, in the future it will let you at a loss. Recommended that change it to "modify the software installation path" and other names, so clear-cut, which will greatly facilitate the future operation and rapid positioning.

The second method to feature registry favorites: Rename Favorites

How to rename the registry Favorites that already exist to what we wanted? Microsoft did not provide us with this feature of modifying the registry Favorites, Is it possible that we need to add the new item one by one and delete all the old? Of course not: Please navigate to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER / Software / Microsoft / Windows / CurrentVersion / Applets / Regedit /
Favoritess] sub-key, in the right window you'll see your "Favoritess" message, we only need to use the mouse right click revised project, select "Rename", you can modify the name you wanted.

The third method to feature registry favorites: delete multiple items at once.

We know that to delete an item in the Favoritess is very simple, just click "Favoritess → Remove Favoritess" command, in the open "Delete Favoritess" dialog box select names you want to deleted from the list of branch and click "OK" button. But if you need to delete more than one item? In fact, very simple, this list can be multi-selected. Method is click in proper order, select more and press the "OK" button.

The Fourth method to feature registry favorites:: Backup Favorites

As we all know, after re-installed the operating system, registry Favoritess contents will be lost, then our "features Favorites" will be lost. If you do not want your work wasted, it is necessary to take precautions before it is too late. Method: in HKEY_CURRENT_USER / Software / Microsoft / Windows / CurrentVersion / Applets / Regedit / Favoritess, select "File → Export" command, type the name such as "Featured Favorites", pay attention to choose " Selected branch " of "Export Range". Do you have the better method to feature registry favorites? welcome to share!
